T-Rex Restaurant Review

: If you’ve eaten at Rainforest Café, T-Rex is the next generation of this sort of “sensory overload dining,” brought to you by the same Landry’s Restaurant team. Expect a wait at this popular restaurant, where the line snakes out the door around waterfalls and a 140-foot-long Argentinosaurus. The 30,000-square-foot space with seating for more than 600 is tricked out with life-size robotic dinosaurs, giant fish tanks, real fossils in the bathrooms and crystals in the walls. Our favorite space is the Ice Cave, a cool blue creation at the back of the restaurant with glowing walls. Food-wise, if you stick to the basics it’s just fine. You’ll find family-friendly options like nachos, wings, flatbread and ravioli. If you’re watching calories or just looking for something more interesting, the tribal tacos include grilled mahi in corn tortillas with cabbage, pico de gallo and avocado cream. Big salads, huge bowls of pasta and various seafood items round out the menu. At Disney World, this is kid-pleasing “eatertainment.”
