Tallulah Wine Bar & Bistro Restaurant Review:

Tallulah’s wine list is accessible and varied as well as nicely organized; in each section, wines are listed from sweetest to driest and lightest to full-bodied. It features selections by the pichet or half bottle, with at least 50 options by the glass. The menu suggests wine pairings, such as the Vasse Felix Chardonnay to accompany the salt baked Coho salmon with fingerling potatoes, pickled beets and parsley; and the Joseph Drouhin Moulin-à-Vent for the miso-glazed butterfish, scallop dumplings and herb salad. Desserts include a chocolate potpie made with milk chocolate and caramel, orange cream cheesecake and espresso shortbread, and apple walnut streusel cake topped with brown sugar ice cream. Dessert wines range from ten- and 20-year-old ports to Elio Perrone Sourgal Moscato d’Asti from the Piedmont region of Italy. The elegance of the menu and presentation by friendly and knowledgeable staff inform this sleek and gleaming bistro with its large square windows overlooking the street and topped with transoms to give it that Paris feel. High gloss floors and crisp white tablecloths add to the sense that this is a place for serious wine, food and fun.
