| An offshoot of the Maryland restaurant of the same name, this Clarendon spot lacks the gastronomic charm of its sister, and for that matter, even its service falters. The menu is inclusive, and beyond the ordinary curries and vindaloos you can find some very commendable offerings, such as the chicken jalfrezi, lamb bhuna Punjabi, the khatta mitha, or beet root salad. Breads are first-rate, and the dal a real winner. That said, some dishes are lackluster. Crème brûlée is among dessert options. |
