Tanpopo Noodle Shop Restaurant Review: Tranquility, Tanpopo is thy name. In this crazy world, it's always nice to find a little pocket of Zen. Even when the place is packed to the rafters with people waiting to get their noodle fix, the subdued lighting, the whir of the fans, the smiles and efficiencies of the staff all make it a place to quietly enjoy a warm bowl of noodles. The soba and udon noodle soups are simple and well seasoned; the noodles themselves have just the right density. Many of the dishes make for filling meals topped with tempura shrimp, teriyaki chicken, tofu and other flavorful additions. The menu provides for more than just noodles---most notably the edamame (salted soybeans). |
