THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Tanti Baci Caffe Restaurant Review:

A cozy retreat on a bustling West Village street, this Italian eatery has been serving neighborhood regulars for decades. And the good thing is, no matter what kind of mood you’re in there’s a room to make you feel at home: first, an intimate subterranean space on West 10th Street, and then a more open and lively ground floor room (with outdoor seating) around the corner on Seventh Avenue. Interestingly, the kitchen is connected to the West 10th Street room, so if you’re eating in the Seventh Avenue room and you see waiters walking around the corner with your dish, you’ll know it took a small trip to get to you. Not that it matters much. The offerings here are decent enough to have garnered a loyal following. The mix-and-match pasta menu can be good if you choose wisely, but Tanti Baci shines in the daily specials which can range from rosemary-encrusted roasted chicken to a tender steak. Wines, fortunately, are affordable enough to consider a second bottle.
