Tap Tap Restaurant Review: With the enormous Haitian and Caribbean population of Miami, it's a wonder there aren't more places like this one. It's the real deal, the final vanguard of authentically spicy Caribbean food on South Beach. Smoky chicken, whole fish and goat are served in hot curries, or jerked, Haitian barbecue-style. It's upscale alongside most other similar food dives, boasting hand-painted murals and vibrant Haitian folk art inside and out. The staff here will charm you in lilting, singsong voices and treat you like royalty. Tap Tap is a truly enjoyable, artsy, funky place. Definitely stick around for the live music and soak up the scene as you absorb a dazzling rum cocktail. |
