THIS RESTAURANT HAS CHANGED LOCATIONS TAP Thai Cuisine Restaurant Review:

TAP adds Thai flavor to an eclectic mix of ethnic eateries in an otherwise unremarkable part of Santa Barbara. Surrounded by residential neighborhoods and catering largely to locals, the restaurant is warm and tidy, with an arty interior. The youthful owners (a Thai trio, their initials combined form T.A.P.) imbue their establishment with a contemporary hipness: think Thai iced tea served in mason jars, and stencil art décor. The food is attractively presented as well, and makes good use of fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. Beyond that, however, it meanders steadily down the middle of the road, neither disappointing nor thrilling the palate. A glass noodle salad offers a delicate mix of shrimp and chicken with cilantro, onion, carrot and fresh chili-lime dressing. A unique take on pad thai adds the potent flavor of tamarind sauce to the familiar dish. For dessert, you can’t go wrong with the fried banana with coconut ice cream.
