TAPS Fish House & Brewery Restaurant Review:
TAPS has something for everybody: an oyster bar; bustling lounge; dining room featuring seafood specialties from the East, West and Gulf Coasts; and a romantic lakeside patio. TAPS even brews its own beers right on the premises, but it’s much more than a brewpub. In fact, it’s among the best bets for serious seafood in the Inland Empire. For starters, the seemingly endless menu offers oysters Rockefeller, Maine lobster dumplings and Hawaiian tuna tartare with a wasabi crème fraîche and dollops of sriracha. Among entrées you’ll find everything from fish ‘n’ chips or jambalaya to a signature dish of miso-glazed Chilean sea bass plated with three colors of sweet-and-spicy pepper jams. Meat lovers aren’t left out, thanks to items like bacon-wrapped meatloaf and Oscar-style filet mignon. Desserts range from Snicker-brownie cheesecake to banana-coconut cream pie, as well as soufflés for special occasions, and the wine list accommodates both seafood lovers and carnivores. The Sunday buffet brunch, featuring a couple hundred selections, is a major league spread yet very reasonably priced.
