Taqueria Diana Restaurant Review:

Taqueria Diana, a diminutive Mexican spot in the East Village, might have a design flaw (the stand-up counters should be in the front of the space, not the dank and dark back), but that doesn’t stop SoCal expats from gravitating here en masse. In fact, the name should be more like Nacheria Diana, since the nachos are some of the best in the city. Arriving on a huge metal tray, they are piled high with chips and drenched in Mexican crema, jalapeños, guacamole and your choice of meat (get the juicy al pastor). Tacos are a bit of an afterthought. Mostly filled with meat (carnitas, chicken, al pastor, steak), Diana’s tacos are decent but there are better options in the East Village. Stick to the nachos and you can’t go wrong (nor will you leave with an empty stomach).
