| Who would have thought that a quick-serve taco place right near the vaunted halls of the U.S. Capitol would become such a must destination at lunch? Congressional pages, lobbyists, secretaries and everyday office workers line up eager for one of its specialty tacos or burritos. Check out the blackboard, but it seems most people have memorized what’s on offer. Ask about the day’s specials, and always, always come away with one of the numerous aguas frescas, or fresh fruit drinks. An adjunct to Johnny’s Half Shell, TN is tucked away behind its parent restaurant. A few seats, a table or two, but for most drop-ins, it’s back to the office or across the street to the park for a taco lunch. |
