The Tavern Company Restaurant Review: The Tavern Company has ditched its dive bar status and taken on a bistro-meets-tap 'tude, serving up everything from beer, wings and burgers to a flatbread with apples, figs and goat cheese and an Ohio City pappardelle with shrimp and chicken sausage. Other finds include a Thai chicken wrap with a crunchy slaw and a tender, rich veal meat loaf. While owner Chris Armington and chef Jamie Wynbrandt opted to change the menu, the wooden tables and booths; enormous moose head over the bar; and the relaxed vibe have remained the same. And happy hours are still happy, offering specials --- such as $1 off any drink or shot --- as well as $2 off small plates.
