THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Tavola Di ToSa Restaurant Review:
Step inside this Broad Ripple bungalow and soak up the Italian warmth. It's an authentic taste of Italy except for the English-speaking servers. Co-owners Tony Hanslits, a highly lauded chef, and his Italian-born wife, Rosa, are dedicated to giving guests an upscale version of their favorite fare. Warm house-baked bread with a drizzle of olive oil and an antipasto are brought to the table shortly after the menu. Appetizers are enticing, but we find it impossible to pass up the soup whether it is white bean with sage or a hearty seafood bisque. The tender ravioli puffs get a different filling and exquisite sauce with each seasonal menu change. Entrées show imagination without being contrived. The same goes for the popular lunchtime tapas buffet served in the wine bar. Dinners also are available in the adjoining wine bar that offers a nice selection of wines by the glass and a magnificent cheese tray. Assorted cheeses also are on the dessert cart along with fruits of the season and superb house-made desserts.
