A good spot for a cuppa on a rainy day (if you don't mind cramped quarters), Tea & Sympathy not only serves afternoon tea, but also such English basics as Welsh rarebit, shepherd's pie, bangers and mash, and tweed-kettle pie. There’s also Stilton and walnut salad, smoked trout with horseradish sauce, and a salad with chicken, egg, bacon and tomatoes dubbed Absolutely Fabulous, like the popular British TV show. An authentic fish 'n' chips place and a shop selling everything English---from tea to videotapes---are next door.
