Ten Con Ten Restaurant Review

: A handsome rectangular bar features notes of mahogany and cream and is equipped with tall tables where you can sip on expertly crafted cocktails and nibble on tapas. The dining areas are split into two sophisticated spaces: the library and bistro, both of which offer a level of elegance and chic detailing. Ten Con Ten is run by husband and wife team Marta Seco and Sandro Silva of the restaurant El Paraguas. Their focus is on creating traditional Spanish fare, with particular inspiration drawn from the classic and hearty dishes of Asturias. Start with sharing plates such as panko prawns with peppered aïoli, grilled octopus pedreiro, and braised artichokes with spinach. For a main course, we suggest the fish dishes, which include amberjack with clams, roasted cod with apple or hake topped with crab sauce, or the meat delights of roast beef with truffled mashed potatoes, and foie with quince millefeuille and goat cheese. An extensive wine cellar carries a vast array of some of Spain’s finest labels, and a considered selection of Champagnes. Try the 2009 Belondrade Lurton red from the Rueda terroir, or the 2006 Comenge white from the Ribera del Duero. The bar is also renowned for its substantial gin collection, with over 30 varieties from which to choose. Finish with zesty sorbets, crêpes with chocolate or cherry pilé and shots of intense espresso.
