Terra Ristorante Italiano Restaurant Review: Neighborhood locals know Terra Ristorante Italiano is the place to go to enjoy some of the best Northern Italian cuisine in the Greenwich area. It has a decidedly rustic but chic feel and sports wood chairs and tables, a cozy bar and provincial accents reminiscent of a Tuscan country house. Try the flash-fried calamari in a spicy tomato sauce accented with Thai chile, or the crisp hearts of romaine tossed in Caesar dressing and topped with focaccia croutons and a Parmesan crisp for starters. Entrées like the wild king salmon over a white corn salad, zucchini purée and prosciutto; and the Berkshire pork tenderloin in a parsley lemon butter with Bing cherries and a side dish of lollipop kale sprouts are favorites. But as is the case with its counterparts on Capri and the Amalfi Coast, people come to Terra to be seen and see the celebs who frequent it, as well as to dine. Staff is sometimes inattentive, but service is usually solicitous.
