Executive chef Massimo Pisati's rustic yet refined menu is the showpiece inside this bright and spacious dining room. Good starters include antipasti such as beef carpaccio enhanced with a citrusy agrumato oil and sea salt, topped with peppery arugula. Try the risotto with imported black truffle and wild mushrooms, or the branzino, Mediterranean sea bass served simply with cherub tomatoes and asparagus. Richest of them all is the veal costoletta alla salvia prepared with sautéed butter and sage. Pastas are well done, and the tortiglioni hits the spot. Similar to rigatoni, tortiglioni is a short tube pasta with ridges, making it a fine vehicle for carrying chunky sauces such as this creamy tomato version balanced with savory Italian sausage and verdant peas.
