THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Terrene Restaurant Review: Terrene made a name for itself by emphasizing its “green” cuisine---local sources and sustainable ingredients, plus an environmentally friendly rehab. However, customers chose to buzz about the leaf-shaded patio and the cocktail selection at the bar. Both views have merit. The food is very much modern American, still leaning toward vegetarian and vegan dishes like tofu spring rolls and tempeh with red beans and rice, but also featuring top-tier meats, among them lamb sweetbreads, elk strip steak and pork belly confit. The dining room can get a little loud; if weather permits, the patio is a better choice for lingering over port or scotch from the fine after-dinner drink menu.
