THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Terroir Restaurant & Wine Bar Restaurant Review:
This classy neighborhood spot is casual, intimate and bustling; in other words, it’s anything you want it to be. The spacious and comfortable room features an open kitchen, counter space, and scattered tables. But the real star of this show is the multi-talented menu of small plates that offer wildly varied tastes of regional food. Choose a Chinook salmon tartare from the “raw, cured, marinated and barely cooked” category. Or the first-rate roasted beef marrow bones from “innards, offals, and the unexpected.” Terroir’s chef-owner Stu Stein bases all his dishes on fresh sustainable ingredients from local purveyors. Pair these affordable plates with one of many Pacific Northwest beers and wines, and the result is an instant party for one, two, or a big crowd of friends.
