Tex Wasabi's Rock-n-Roll Sushi-BBQ Restaurant Review: At this popular barbecue-sushi bar, celebrity chef Guy Fieri brings together the Far East and the Deep South. The expansive space is perfect for lingering, and features décor from across the globe. Appetizers include American favorites such as a pork slider and fried pickles, as well as Asian delights like sashimi wonton tacos and pot stickers. Entrées are equally varied, with barbecued ribs and brisket alongside tempura and teriyaki chicken. Sushi selections include the basic rolls and nigiri plus a sub-menu of customer creations. But the highlight is by far the “gringo” sushi: the Jackass has barbecue pork, french fries and mayo, while the Big Bird on Fire has blackened chicken, fries and sweet chili sauce.
