Texas de Brazil Restaurant Review: You need to be ravenous to get your money’s worth at all-you-care-to-eat Texas de Brazil, the elegant Brazilian churrascaria. The dining room is surprisingly upscale for the neighborhood---fresh flowers, linen tablecloths and friendly, attentive service create a great escape on busy International Drive. Start with a lime-laced caipirinha then get ready for a protein fix, with carvers roaming the restaurant offering rotisserie-roasted cuts of beef, chicken, lamb, pork and sausage, sliced tableside. A green tab at your table signals “more,” with service in seconds. Various sauces along with sweet fried plantains, Brazilian cheese bread and garlic smashed potatoes come alongside the meats. The beautiful, 40-plus-item salad bar is ideal for non-carnivores, with everything from soups and black beans and rice to buffalo mozzarella, marinated mushrooms, soup, hearts of palm and grilled vegetables. The wine list has more than 400 selections, focusing on domestic and South American labels. |
