Situated on King Street near the waterfront and convenient for tourists and locals alike, this Westernized Thai restaurant hums with activity. At lunchtime especially, you’ll likely have to squeeze in for a table in this pretty little place with its splashing fountain and decorative Thai statuary. Its menu is much simpler than the décor and offers few surprises. Nevertheless, the papaya salad is a good appetizer choice as is the mildly spicy grilled beef salad. The red duck curry is not up to par, however, nor is the kway-tiaw nam, a bowl of bland noodle soup that contains many more noodles than broth or seafood. To eliminate menu guesswork at lunchtime, check out the lunch-box specials with spring roll. For dinner, you will find standard Thai offerings.
