THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Thai Room Restaurant Review:

The first---and for a while the only---Thai restaurant in DC, Thai Room strides into a venerable old age. If you haven’t eaten here in some time, you’ll notice some changes; for one, the lunch buffet is gone. But mostly, Thai Room has retained its look and menu. Unlike its trendier competitors, it serves familiar Thai dishes, which are more predictable than glamorous. You can count on the roast duck to be flavorful and the tod mun (fried fish cakes) to be mild enough for most people to enjoy. We also like to order the chicken and basil, the shrimp green curry (not on the menu, but ask for it), and the crispy mee krob rice noodle dish. While you dine, enjoy the Thai décor and the neighborhood feel of the place.
