| Roses adorning golden bowls and richly decorated Indian fabrics hanging from the wall help to transport patrons to the South Asian peninsula. Thali brings together the flavors from virtually every region in India and Asia, and features ingredients not usually associated with Indian cooking, such as Konkan crab, jumbo lump crab with ginger and peppers, and the Hyderabadi bater, grilled Vermont quail served with cream of wheat upma. Main courses follow suit with dishes like the black pepper-crusted duck accompanied by garlic spinach in Cabernet masala sauce. |
