THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Three Corners Dining Room Restaurant Review:

A little north of Pasadena, in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains, this inviting little restaurant is largely a labor of love supplied by the delightful chef-owner Debbie Rainey, who tends to treat customers like family. The nearly triangular dining room, featuring lots of culinary knickknacks, some striking African-American art and tables covered with ivory- or blue-plaid cloths, is truly charming. Although she hails from Los Angeles, Rainey’s specialty is the cooking of the American South, which she adopted with the soul of a blue-ribbon winner at a Georgia county fair. Results can be a bit inconsistent, but best bets here include the crab cakes with a zesty rémoulade, Cajun sausage, meatloaf and catfish. Traditional Southern side dishes are generally tasty, and desserts (for example, lemon bars, sweet-potato tarts and pecan bars) are among the kitchen’s best efforts.
