THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Tiara Cafe Restaurant Review:

Fred Eric, whose Fred 62 reinvented the American diner for slackers (on both sides of the counter), took a chance on downtown’s Fashion District (which, despite the name, is anything but glamorous). The décor relies on an eye-popping palette of sparkling, neon-bright colors, and the large space accommodates an army of diners sinking into blue booths. The cuisine is predictably eclectic, with Middle Eastern, Caribbean and various Asian influences all present on the menu. You can find a version of a Cuban medianoche sandwich that substitutes smoked and roasted duck for the usual ham and pork, as well as daily made miniature pizzettes with toppings like chorizo and burrata, or grilled chicken and arugula. The wraps, known as "fresh'wiches," can be filled with Eric’s signature “Thai Cobb” salad. Burgers and salads are also available. With an emphasis on healthy organic ingredients, Tiara Café can get you back to the runway --- or office --- without feeling too guilty. Share the addictive chickpea fritters, an alternative to fries, which are served with a North African aïoli.
