Tina's Restaurant Review: A visit to Tina’s, where Oregon wines are paired with simple yet elegant dishes, is a highlight during a day spent touring Willamette Valley wine country. Two small, romantic dining rooms are divided by a crackling fireplace. The dinner menu focuses on seared and roasted seafood and meats, ranging from scallops, rockfish and duck breast to lamb and beef. Willapa Bay oysters, salmon spring rolls or duck pâté are among starters. Nectarine-blueberry cobbler with a buttery almond crust is a comfort food-style dessert. Lunches tend to be lighter and may feature fish tacos or tasty salads with a combination of snap peas, fennel, asparagus, goat cheese and hazelnuts. But ultimately everything centers around the wine: the list features primarily Oregon Pinots, but there are other varietals as well, including a sprinkling of vintages from further afield. If you linger over coffee in the evening, you're likely to see some growers or winemakers make a late-night appearance to show off their latest reserve bottlings. Tina's is the kind of place where your questions and interest will be welcomed by the vintners, and who knows, they may even pour you a sample.
