Tina's Restaurant Review: Tina's pairs elegance with comfort in two small, romantic dining rooms divided by a cozy fireplace. It's the perfect setting to enjoy Northern Willamette Valley Pinots with a small, constantly changing menu featuring local and seasonal foods. Start with Willapa Bay oysters dressed with sorrel mayonnaise. Choose among entrées such as creamy mushroom lasagna, fresh tamales, and roasted duck breast with cornbread, carrots and kale in a green peppercorn sauce. Comfort food-style desserts complete the experience and may include nectarine-blueberry cobbler with a buttery almond crust. Lunches tend to be lighter and much less expensive, and may highlight oyster chowder or good-size salads with various greens plus green beans, radishes, kale, hazelnuts and chèvre. But ultimately everything centers on the wines. The list features primarily Oregon Pinots, but there are other varietals as well, including a sprinkling of vintages from farther afield. If you linger over coffee in the evening, you're likely to see some growers or winemakers making a late-night appearance to show off their latest reserve bottlings. Tina's is the kind of place where your questions and interest will be welcomed by the vintners, and who knows, they may even pour you a sample?
