THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Tini Ristorante Italiano Restaurant Review:

New York City diners place high expectations on Italian restaurants due to their abundant choices; Lentini will delight even the most demanding Italian cuisine-seeking palate. Chef Giuseppe and brother Enzo offer their preparations amid a sophisticated ambience that feels as though it were designed in Milan. The experience begins as Enzo escorts patrons to their table and offers an apéritif. Guiding guests through the menu, he showcases any specials like imported porcini mushrooms, prepared as an appetizer either sautéed in garlic and olive oil or tossed in Giuseppe's delicate fettuccine with a light tomato sauce. The remainder of the menu consists of specialties such as osso buco, falling off the bone and finished in a tomato sauce which layers just above the flavor of the veal and marrow without an overpowering effect. Lentini does not disappoint seafood lovers; try the shrimp sautéed in white wine and fresh tomatoes in a red pepper sauce. Desserts add some twists to old favorites. Cannolis come with a lemon cream filling; for the tiramisu, lady fingers are soaked in espresso beforehand but the dessert is assembled when ordered. Though the wine list presents some fine choices, the real value lies in the array of wines by the glass.
