Tir Na Nog---or “land of eternal youth” in Celtic---is the moniker of this pub and restaurant near Madison Square Garden. It’s decorated in wood and stone, giving it the lived-in aura of many other Irish pubs that speckle the city. The fare has Celtic tweaks, such as Irish smoked salmon and the rich black pudding (blood sausage), served with a robust mustard sauce. Unfortunately, the kitchen is as uneven as the Irish additions to the cuisine, making it a hit or miss affair.
