Tokyo Table Restaurant Review: Located in the Diamond Jamboree Center, Tokyo Table is a contemporary Japanese restaurant much like you might find in Tokyo. With its striking organic décor and casual yet sophisticated dining concept, Tokyo Table attracts couples and families, as well as those who just like modern Japanese cuisine. The emphasis is not on sushi, but on shared plates of salads, soups, cold and hot appetizers, noodles and ishiyaki (stone cooking). However, signature sushi rolls are notable, such as the lobster dynamite roll --- a lobster or scallop-filled California roll topped with a spicy cream sauce and masago caviar. The mains are what good contemporary Japanese food should be: fresh, innovative and full of East-meets-West flavors. We enjoy the sukiyaki bibimbap, pork gyoza, shrimp tempura, udon noodle soup, unagi rice and the hearty and smoky yakisoba noodles. At meal's end, don't pass up the honey toast or flambéed bananas. Tokyo Table is also known for its lounge scene, so order up a "saketini," vodka "soda," Japanese beer or glass of wine.
