THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Tomas Restaurant Review:
THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED Suburbia now is home to a former chef from the Buckhead Diner, as Tomas Lee opens his eponymous restaurant. The menu takes notes from all over the planet, except that Lee adroitly dodges his Korean background, instead incorporating generic Asian touches here and there. Similar to a dish he served at Buckhead Diner, the Asian chicken salad on cold noodles is a huge portion, easily shared, light and filling, intriguingly flavored with its gossamer soy-based dressing. Buffalo shrimp with a light ranch dressing and a few celery sticks are a mildly seasoned take on this popular variation on buffalo chicken wings. Quesadillas filled with chicken and cheese are less intriguing, but still adequately prepared. The rack of lamb is a serious winner; its meat is marinated in olive oil and herbs, and cooked as ordered just pink. Steaks are good, too.
