The Tombs Restaurant Review: Another one of the Clyde’s Restaurant Group’s famed restaurants, The Tombs is all about college crowds, sporting events (crew, in particular) and casual eats at almost any hour, even into the wee hours of the morning. Parents, professors, students (Georgetown U. is nearby) and area residents crowd into its brick-lined, cave-like rooms. In true college style, some patrons even have carved initials on tabletops. The sporty foods range from chicken finger appetizers to bowls of the famous chili. It’s a safe bet that the Southwestern chicken salad will satisfy---it comes with all the yummy taco tastes and loads of salad topping and is served on a warm, squishy pizza crust. |
