| It’s a chain of sorts, and it’s the same company as the clothing line, and as one might expect this means food that’s an upscale interpretation of island cuisine---smoldering jerk chicken, exuberantly fruity cocktails. The store downstairs carries its signature mix of tropical leisurewear and strangely hip housewares---you have to take a flight of stairs off to the side to reach the upstairs restaurant, which has one of the best views of Armands Circle around. Salads and cocktails are fairly pricey, but worth it. A Key lime martini manages to marry so elegantly with a tropical chicken salad that it hovers in our taste memory like a beautiful mirage. |
