This restaurant was the first high-style Chinese restaurant to open in the city. The look-Asian antiques with a heavy overlay of French style-extends to the food, sometimes favorably and sometimes not. The special dinner for $55 brings all the favorites this restaurant is known for including a seafood bisque presented in a whole coconut under a puff pastry lid and a Maine lobster shelled and sautéed with pine nuts and mushrooms on a bed of angel-hair pasta. The wines will give your wallet a workout.
