Tommyknocker Brewery & Pub Restaurant Review

: Named after the mining gnomes elves that allegedly aided the town’s 19th century miners, this is a fine example of what a brewpub should be. For starters, the building is a 100-year-old former hotel loaded with rustic charm. It’s now been divided into a wonderful bar/brewery combination with a separate, quieter dining area. The beers here are top-notch, clean and flavorful brews that satisfy. The lineup includes two handfuls of choice foam, the big sellers are the signature maple ale, a richly roasted stout and an elegantly balanced pale ale. Seeking more solid sustenance? Fill up on quality brewpub grub and a few more creative offerings such as buffalo meatloaf or hybrid burritos. Don’t forget to visit the larger-than-life statue of cartoon character Steve Canyon on your way out of town.
