THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Tony's Eatin' House Restaurant Review:
This small, family-run eating house has Old World Italian coming out of its ears. There are six tables and two booths. The menu, a small paper affair, has the set daily specials---two or three each day---down the left side. On the right side are seven or so pasta choices starting with lasagne and ending with mostaccioli. Thats about it, except for the fact that nothing on the menu goes much higher than $8, and the food is as homemade tasting as youll find in this neck of the urban jungle. The escarole and beans are just great; the eggplant parmigiana is wonderful; the cavatelli with marinara sauce has the right chew and is so tasty its hard to describe. We love the braciole (rolled and stuffed steak) and the pasta e fagioli too.
