Top of Waikiki Restaurant Review: This is the only revolving restaurant in Hawaii (rotating about once an hour) and the sights of Diamond Head, Waikiki beach and the city lights of Honolulu will all be laid out for your pleasure. Executive chef Lance Kosaka draws inspiration from Asian cuisines for flavors and presentation when crafting dishes. Those who know of his time spent at Alan Wong's The Pineapple Room and Cafe Julia in downtown will recognize signature selections like the yukari and bubu arare crusted onaga, and will also see creative touches meant to blend the local palate into more traditional dishes, such as lumpia stuffed with cambozola cheese and a pear salad. As you can imagine, the sunset happy hour at the bar is lively --- you just can't top the view --- although the rest of the interior is stuck in a bit of a time warp from the late 80s.
