| Before there was Ago and the Rösti chain, there was Toscana. This clubby little trattoria in Brentwood is still always jam-packed. You have to make reservations a week in advance, and when you get here you have to wait, but the food is worth it. The kitchen prepares Tuscan-style thin-crusted pizzas, chewy focaccias and pastas, aromatic steaks seasoned with olive oil, and sizzling veal chops. We also suggest the pollo al mattone---rosemary-and-garlic-kissed chicken that's grilled under a weight. |
