THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Toto Restaurant Review: This lovely restaurant, Florentine in its stark elegance, is a good choice for pre-theater dining. The décor features mirrored walls that reflect the marble floors, and tables discreetly separated by etched glass dividers. You can dine sumptuously in the fashionable dining room, or snack on cichetti (little mouthfuls) in the lively, mural-adorned front bar. The communal table provides a pleasant respite for lone diners. Chef Chuck Taylor does Italian specialties such as beef carpaccio and creamy mushroom risotto. The thoughtful and fairly priced wine list offers Italian, French and California choices. Pastry chef John Gladens desserts include spuma alla crema, or pastafulla con banana, warm chocolate strudel in a sauce of caramelized bananas with coconut sorbet.
