Trata East Restaurant Review: Trata is obviously doing something right with its food and original atmosphere, as it has locations in both New York City and the Hamptons. They explain the characteristics of each fish specimen, show you the prices by the pound, and invite you to name your choice. Most preparations are simply grilled and basted with lemon and olive oil. First courses include the expected Greek salads and dips, made better elsewhere, and some dandy fried red mullet, grilled octopus and sardines. The Hamptons restaurant is a seasonal location, opened only in spring and summer.
