| This loud and bright Greek restaurant is a good seafood find on the Upper East Side. Here, knowledgeable servers escort you to the iced display of fresh seafood and then explain characteristics of each specimen, showing diners the prices by the pound. Most preparations are a simple grill basted in lemon juice and olive oil. First courses include the expected Greek salads and dips, made better elsewhere, and some dandy fried red mullet, grilled octopus and sardines. Other standouts include shrimp, scallop and swordfish skewers with spiced tomato and mango tahini sauce; and pickled braised pork belly with Black Mission figs, toasted coriander seeds and mustard greens. |
