Trattoria No. 10 has been around for years, and it's as good as it ever was. The contentment factor here is directly linked to consistency, quality and the understanding that Italian food does not have to be complicated. The menu changes often, but core dishes are always available. Lunch and dinner offerings are pretty much the same and handmade ravioli is the star of the show. Other enjoyable options are the ricotta gnocchi with rapini, butter-poached leeks and lemon ricotta as well as garganelli with wild-caught shrimp, roasted peppers, garlic and chili with white wine butter sauce. For dessert, the almond-ricotta cheesecake is notable. The wine list covers all the important wine-producing regions of Italy, and the prices are fair. Service is informed, and the romantic, old-world setting---grotto-ish with dramatic lighting and lovely artwork---is date-worthy.
