THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Trattoria Alberto Restaurant Review:
A Glen Burnie strip mall might seem an unlikely venue for fine dining, but step inside this attractive restaurant, adorned with original art and fresh flowers, to be reminded that a book should not be judged by its cover. This Italian kitchen turns out flavorful, upscale Italian meals of a quality rare in these parts, and has been drawing enthusiastic customers from both the Baltimore and Washington communities for more than a quarter of a century. The grilled calamari are silken, requiring nothing more than lemon juice and olive oil to bring them to life. Polenta sauced with cream, sun-dried tomatoes and mushrooms is rich and earthy. And grilled fish, such as a marinated branzino with lemon juice, olive oil, black pepper and fresh rosemary, is a guaranteed showstopper. Absolutely ask the price of daily specials before ordering, if you are concerned about the tab. The restaurant doesn’t have a private dining room, but can be rented for parties on Sundays, with special menus available.
