Trattoria Il Localino Restaurant Review

: Reveling in its Neapolitan roots, Trattoria Il Localino relies for atmosphere on the voice of Frank Sinatra on the sound system, while walls are covered with photos and odd memorabilia. Three-course menus go for $30, and make a better deal than ordinary pasta dishes that are priced in the $20s range. Seafood is probably the best bet, although a special of sliced filet mignon with mushrooms and Madeira came off quite tasty. Polenta, rarely seen in Atlanta Italian restaurants, unfortunately, with bolognese sauce and mozzarella cheese melted on top was substantial. The lengthy wine list is heavily Italian, but offers very little of interest by the glass. It’s difficult to dine here for less than $40 per person, even choosing pasta, and even without alcohol, and much better food may be found for that money and less in other Atlanta Italian restaurants.
