Trattoria I Trulli Restaurant Review:

For more than 20 years, Trattoria I Trulli has been serving authentic Italian cuisine to the locals in Encinitas. Set in a cozy little space on Coast Highway 101, the warm and welcoming restaurant hosts diners enjoying big bowls of pasta. We have learned to stick with the basics, such as the calamari and Caesar salad. For pasta, we like the simple capellini with tomatoes and fresh mozzarella, or the creamy carbonara. Beyond pasta, veal piccata is loaded with capers and tender to the bite. Rich chocolate mousse cake is a perfect share for dessert. The international wine list favors Italy (appropriately so), though it spotlights some nice California wines. Sister locations include Buon Appetito and the wine bar Sogno di Vino, both in Little Italy.
