THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED I Tre Merli Restaurant Review:

Opened by Paolo Secondo, whose I Tre Merli empire extends to his native Genoa, this West Village eatery draws hungry crowds. Its corner location and walls of windows make it prime territory for people-watching while devouring plates of ravioli di cinghiale (wild boar ravioli) in a well balanced port wine reduction sauce, pappardelle con caciotta, veal saltimbocca, or one of the charcuterie plates. The stylish copper bar at the front of the house is an ideal spot for perching with appetizers and a glass of wine; many on the extensive list are offered by the glass. At lunchtime the menu includes panini---try the Roma, which is roasted suckling pig, cornichons and mayonnaise. On weekends, for both brunch and dinner expect lots of lovelies and a long line; it’s wise to make reservations.
