There’s a lot to love about this casual, comfort-food-oriented BYOB in Humboldt Park.
 Sunny yellow walls donning interesting art signal there’s something going on along this otherwise desolate strip. One look at the menu and you’ll know it’s true. Dishes reach wildly, from American to Mediterranean, Indian and Moroccan, and most are adeptly prepared. The dense samosas start things off right, and we like the minty chutney on the side since it helps cool---and complement---the slow burn. The beer-battered cod sandwich is a charmer, too, with its complements of capers, herby aïoli and pickled onions. Feeling decadent? Go for the luxurious passion fruit crème brûlée. |
