| Executive chef Brian Scheehser’s three-acre farm in nearby Woodinville supplies much of the produce on Trellis' farm-to-table menu. Featuring organic, naturally raised and handcrafted Northwest products, his modern Northwest menu gives new meaning to seasonal cooking. Starters for summer include crisp flatbread topped with fresh tomatoes, basil and shrimp steeped in a light creamy curry. Entrées delight as well, particularly tender house-made gnocchi in a bright pomodoro sauce, or pan-roasted Brook trout served with almonds, basil and green beans. The hanger steak is paired with savory-sweet grilled onions and plums. A carefully chosen wine list offers a range of prices and pairings. End your meal with a creative dessert such as house-made cookies, lemon sage flan, or tiny cream puffs paired with honey rosemary ice cream. Unfortunately, the unremarkable furnishings don't quite live up to the quality of the cuisine. Brunchers will enjoy the sidewalk patio. |
