Tremont Tap House Restaurant Review:

As Cleveland’s first gastropub, Tremont Tap House has made its mark on the city by doing all of the little things right. The space is contemporary and industrial with exposed brick walls and a 40-foot concrete bar that is open-air during the warmer seasons, plus booths, large TVs, an expansive patio and a dedicated second floor for private events. The craft beer selection consists of more than 100 finds (48 of which are available on draft). Meanwhile, the dinner menu features unpretentious fare that is agreeable to beer geeks, foodies and the hop-challenged alike. We suggest starting with one of the seasonal brews on tap. (If you’re in the “hop-challenged” category, ask the knowledgeable bartender for guidance.) After you’ve settled in, order the pork belly nachos topped with a habanero-jack queso or the crispy smoked Gouda served with a sweet cranberry onion marmalade. There are a number of two-fisted sandwiches, burgers and larger, bistro-style mains. We like both the Tap House Philly, which is topped with buttermilk blue Whiz, and the lamb burger. On Sunday, brunch brings a croque madame, a chorizo burrito and steak and eggs.
