Trevi Restaurant Review: The centerpiece of Caesars Forum Shops’ first phase and named for Rome’s Trevi Fountain, this restaurant’s spacious patio is enhanced by the sight and sounds of Caesars’ fountains and statuary that are photo ops for visitors and locals alike. Featured in the dining room are a flashy bright orange cylindrical chandelier, a massive wine rack built into one wall, a 27-seat bar and an open kitchen. Among signature dishes are the calamari fritti appetizer served with a tomato-caper sauce, and the chicken salad --- field greens tossed with grilled chicken, artichoke hearts and arugula in a warm pancetta balsamic dressing. We like the signature pollo la griglia, which comes with grilled chicken medallions, oven-roasted tomatoes, artichoke hearts and provolone in a tomato-caper bianco sauce, served with a risotto cake and asparagus. Vegetarians will like the margherita pizza. Among specialty pastas is lasagna layered with zesty meat and ricotta and mozzarella cheeses. Beef tenderloin with red wine mushroom sauce and veal piccata come with garlic mashed potatoes and sautéed green beans. The patio’s display case of gelati and fruity sorbets is a winner --- save room for a scoop or two of these refreshing treats.
