THIS RESTAURANT IS CLOSED Trilussa Restaurant Review:
THIS ESTABLISHMENT IS CLOSED Known as a family restaurant and pizzeria with friendly service, Trilussa features rich dark woods and dim lighting. The bar-lounge area inside the entrance is separated by a wall from the adjacent dining room. The extensive menu accommodates an array of palates and ages. Among salads are Caesars with or without chicken or shrimp; salmon with tomatoes and lemon dill dressing; and Greek with kalamata olives and feta cheese. Antipasti choices include caprese with or without prosciutto; bruschetta with fresh chopped tomatoes, basil, garlic and olive oil; and mussels and clams sautéed with garlic and tomato sauce. The pasta e fagioli and minestrone are winners, as are the panini served with fries and the pizzas including the smoked salmon with tomato and mozzarella. Among angel hair, spaghetti, linguine and penne preparations are arrabiata, pomodoro e basilico, checca and---our favorite---pescatora with mixed seafood, tomato sauce, olive oil and garlic. Among other favorites are eggplant Parmigiano and---served with penne pasta or vegetables---grilled fresh salmon, chicken Marsala, New York steak with mushrooms and cream sauce, and the tiramisu.
